The aim of personalized medicine is to provide an individual therapeutic strategy taking into consideration diagnosis based on both biotechnology and environmental factors that may influence therapeutic response. The key factor in personalized medicine is an individual's medical portrait which will be highlighted by patient-specific information such as lifestyle, philosophy, and current mental and somatic problems as well as pharmacogenomics and biomarkers.
Genomic medicine, pharmacogenomics, and proteomics, which are the base of translational research in realization of personalized medicine, have made rapid strides. A platform for discussion and research in the field of techniques and methods of how to utilize them in clinical practice will be the most important factor in realizing personalized medicine.

Perspectives in Plant Ecology, Evolution and Systematics (PPEES) publishes outstanding and thought-provoking articles of general interest to an international readership in the fields of plant ecology, evolution and systematics. Of particular interest are longer, in-depth articles that provide a broad understanding of key topics in the field. There are six issues per year.The following types of article will be considered:Full length reviewsEssay reviewsLonger research articlesMeta-analysesFoundational methodological or empirical papers from large consortia or long-term ecological research sites (LTER)To maintain high scientific standards, manuscripts are submitted to two or more reviewers for evaluation of their scientific soundness and significance. Authors will be generally notified of acceptance, rejection, or need for revision of their manuscripts within three months.Biological flora series (monographs of model species)PPEES is particularly interested in contributions to the knowledge of species that are flagship species for conservation, invasive species of particular concern, or species that are frequently used as models in ecological research. Pervasive and Mobile Computing
Pervasive computing, often synonymously called ubiquitous computing, is an emerging field of research that brings in revolutionary paradigms for computing models in the 21st century. Tremendous developments in such technologies as wireless communications and networking, mobile computing and handheld devices, embedded systems, wearable computers, sensors, RFID tags, smart spaces, middleware, software agents, and the like, have led to the evolution of pervasive computing platforms as natural successor of mobile computing systems. The goal of pervasive computing is to create ambient intelligence where network devices embedded in the environment provide unobtrusive connectivity and services all the time, thus improving human experience and quality of life without explicit awareness of the underlying communications and computing technologies. In this environment, the world around us (e.g., key chains, coffee mugs, computers, appliances, cars, homes, offices, cities, and the human body) is interconnected as pervasive network of intelligent devices that cooperatively and autonomously collect, process and transport information, in order to adapt to the associated context and activity.The Pervasive and Mobile Computing Journal (PMC) is a professional, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality scientific articles (both theory and practice) covering all aspects of pervasive computing and communications. Pesticide Biochemistry and Physiology publishes original scientific articles pertaining to the mode of action of plant protection agents such as insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, and similar compounds, including nonlethal pest control agents, biosynthesis of pheromones, hormones, and plant resistance agents. Manuscripts may include a biochemical, physiological, or molecular study for an understanding of comparative toxicology or selective toxicity of both target and nontarget organisms. Clinical studies on commercially-available nutraceuticals are also taken into consideration.Immediate rejection criteria are:1. Ethnopharmacological papers, namely studies that deal with locally-consumed plants.2. In vitro antioxidant activity of plant extracts and pure compounds isolated from them.3. Papers that describe pharmacological activities of plants which are not easily found worldwide, eg, Chinese herbs.4. Papers reporting pharmacological activities of novel compounds if no proper controls with known substances are performed.5. Papers describing the pharmacological activities of natural compounds are considered only if they identify novel mechanisms of action. In particular, Pharmacol Research does not publish papers that describe• Single dose studies with very few animals, no dose-response studies.• In-vitro assays with single dose or very high dose, measuring only one endpoint.• Repetition of a simple bioassay for yet another extract or plant.

Pharmacological Research Reports (PREREP) is a journal that publishes articles in biomedical sciences to cover a broad range of topics that move the pharmacological field forward. We provide a venue through which specialists across disciplines can rapidly exchange information in health sciences that pertains to modern pharmacological topics.
PREREP publishes articles on molecular, biochemical, translational, and clinical research (including clinical trials). PREREP is a sound-science journal and therefore novelty and perceived impact will not be considered in the evaluation process. Contributions may involve clinical, preclinical, or basic research.
