Video Journal and Encyclopedia of GI Endoscopy

eISSN: 2212-0971

Gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy is developing rapidly: Modern endoscopic imaging offers a plethora of detailed visual information and endoscopic procedures are becoming increasingly sophisticated and complex. Therefore endoscopists need a new appropriate tool for visual transmission of proceedings in endoscopy. The innovative Video Journal and Encyclopedia of GI Endoscopy takes these developments into account and aims to be the premium and first choice international reference for endoscopic findings and procedures. The focus on high-quality video demonstrations of endoscopic findings and procedures offers a completely new way of presenting the work of GI experts and allows for easy comprehension of information. Additional concise manuscripts to each video detail the procedures and the findings in a bullet point style. All articles are peer-reviewed and available both online and on mobile devices. The unique format of the Video Journal and Encyclopedia of GI Endoscopy provides two elements:• An EXPERT VIDEO ENCYCLOPEDIA as a reference tool with systematic step-by-step demonstrations of common and rare GI pathologies and up-to-date endoscopic procedures. The video sequences in this section are of high educational impact and allow endoscopists and other health care providers to recognize a wide array of pathological findings, review existing techniques, and acquire new endoscopic techniques for implementation in their own clinical work.• A SCIENTIFIC VIDEO JOURNAL and premium reference for findings and techniques, demonstrating cutting edge endoscopic techniques and scientific results as well as clinical cases. Vision Research

ISSN: 0042-6989eISSN: 1878-5646

1. Vision Research is a journal devoted to the functional aspects of human, vertebrate and invertebrate vision and publishes experimental and observational studies, reviews, and theoretical papers firmly based upon the current facts of visual science. Vision Research also accepts experimental studies in which clinical material has been used to address an issue of basic research interest, or where basic research methods have been used to address an issue of clinical importance, or where basic research may have, as yet unapplied, clinical relevance, as far as mechanisms of function or dysfunction of the visual system are concerned. The words clinical and vision sciences should be interpreted in the broadest sense, as represented by the areas of expertise of the members of the Editorial Board. Papers reporting detailed investigations are encouraged and authors should be advised to include enough background material in the introduction of their papers so that they are comprehensible to the non-specialist. The purpose of theoretical papers is to give a higher sense of order to the facts as they are presently known, or to point to new observations which can be verified experimentally. Papers dealing with questions in the history of visual science should lay stress upon the history of ideas in this field. Vision Research has always welcomed the broadest interpretation of visual science.2. Vision Research also welcomes mini reviews. A mini review is not intended to be a comprehensive history of the subject, but rather a survey of recent developments in fast-growing and active areas of vision research covering only the last few years.3. Letters to the Editor: If in response to a published article a letter to the Editor is received, this letter will be sent out for review and at the same time be forwarded to the author(s) tackled. If the letter is accepted, the author(s) of the initial paper will be invited to write a reply within a short period of time, and the reviewers of the letter will be asked to review the reply.4. Obituaries: Vision Research has a restrictive Obituary policy. Obituaries should be submitted to the appropriate Section Editor and the Chairman, and should not exceed a length of one printed page including photograph.5. Special non-recurrent symposia may be published in Vision Research. Symposium organizers are requested to contact the Chairman. The decision is made by the Editorial Board of Vision Research at the annual meeting during ARVO.6. Sponsored Articles: Vision Research offers authors the option to sponsor non-subscriber access to their articles on Elsevier's electronic publishing platforms. For more information please view our Sponsored Articles page.

Water Resources and Economics

eISSN: 2212-4284
For the purpose of sustainable water resources management, the scientific assessment of the multiple connections between water resources and the economy is crucial. Water Resources and Economics addresses the financial and economic dimensions affecting the use of water resources, be it water extraction, pollution or allocation, across different economic sectors like agriculture, energy, industry and urban water supply as well as between local, regional and transboundary river basins. Water Resources and Economics aims to contribute to the development of advanced integrated hydro-economic modeling at river basin, national and international scale, water resources valuation, the design and evaluation of water policy instruments, including water markets, and the economics of public water supply, sanitation and waste water treatment in developed and developing regions.
The journal is aimed to economists, natural scientists and engineers. Papers should deal with the changing value of water in its different uses and the evaluation of economic tradeoffs, aiming for the creation of water resource management strategies that are ecologically, socially and economically sustainable. Both conceptual/methodological as well as applied research papers are welcome.

In association with International Water Association(IWA)

http://www.iwapublishing.comwww.iwapublishing.com

Water Resources and Industry moves research to innovation by focusing on the role industry plays in the exploitation, management and treatment of water resources.
Different industries use radically different water resources in their production processes, while they produce, treat and dispose a wide variety of wastewater qualities. Depending on the geographical location of the facilities, the impact on the local resources will vary, pre-empting the applicability of one single approach.

The aims and scope of the journal include:

  • Industrial water footprint assessment - an evaluation of tools and methodologies
  • What constitutes good corporate governance and policy and how to evaluate water-related risk
  • What constitutes good stakeholder collaboration and engagement
  • New technologies enabling companies to better manage water resources
  • Integration of water and energy and of water treatment and production processes in industry

This new title follows the Universal Access model. Publication charges are waived for authors from developing countries eligible under http://research4life.org/eligibility/Research4Life criteria for access.

Water Resources and Rural Development

ISSN: 2212-6082

Much of the water diverted from streams and reservoirs, or pumped from aquifers, worldwide, is used in agriculture. And much of humanity earns its living through some connection with agriculture - either directly as a farmer or farm worker, or indirectly in one of the many endeavours that support farming activities. Thus, water plays a critical role in providing livelihood opportunities and sustaining the health and welfare of rural families around the world.Water resources and rural development publishes papers describing the role of water resources in supporting livelihood activities in rural areas. Our primary interest is in the impacts of water resources policy and management on rural livelihoods and household welfare. Thus, we welcome analyses of natural resource policies and other policies, outside the direct scope of natural resources, which influence the ways in which land, water, and other resources are allocated and used. We welcome also analyses of the importance of water resources in agriculture and in efforts to sustain or enhance environmental amenities. We recognize and encourage discussion also of the many ways in which water resources enhance rural livelihoods outside the scope of agriculture. For example, we welcome papers that describe issues pertaining to water's role in alleviating poverty and enhancing food security, drinking water supply, water quality, health impacts, wastewater reuse, multiple use systems, and other topics, provided there is an evident link to livelihoods.
