Pharmaceutical Statistics is an industry-led initiative, tackling real problems in statistical applications. The Journal publishes papers that share experiences in the practical application of statistics within the pharmaceutical industry. It covers all aspects of pharmaceutical statistical applications from discovery, through pre-clinical development, clinical development, post-marketing surveillance, consumer health, production, epidemiology, and health economics. The Journal is both international and multidisciplinary. It includes high quality practical papers, case studies and review papers. The aims of the Journal are to:
Pharmacoepidemiology & Drug Safety
The aim of Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety is to provide an international forum for the communication and evaluation of data, methods and opinion in the discipline of pharmacoepidemiology. The Journal publishes peer-reviewed reports of original research, invited reviews and a variety of guest editorials and commentaries embracing scientific, medical, statistical, legal and economic aspects of pharmacoepidemiology and post-marketing surveillance of drug safety. Appropriate material in these categories may also be considered for publication as a Brief Communication. Particular areas of interest include:
Pharmacotherapy
Pharmacotherapy is devoted to original research articles on all aspects of human pharmacology and review articles on drug therapy. The editors and editorial board invite original research reports on pharmacokinetic, bioavailability, and drug interaction studies, clinical trials, investigations of specific pharmacological properties of drugs, and related topics.
Philosophical Investigations
Philosophical Investigations is a quarterly journal which contains articles, discussions, critical notices and reviews covering every branch of philosophy. Its aim is to publish works of merit which deal with those topics that are of interest not simply to professional philosophers but also to the wider educated public. In recent years, for example, it has produced special issues dealing with the nature of consciousness and with the relation between ethics and religion. The journal is international both in its contributors and its readership.

Philosophy and Public Affairs
PHILOSOPHY & PUBLIC AFFAIRS contains philosophical discussions of substantive legal, social, and political problems, as well as discussions of the more abstract questions to which these discussions give rise. The journal is designed to fill the need for a periodical in which philosophers with different viewpoints and philosophically inclined writers from various disciplines can bring their distinctive methods to bear on problems of concern to everyone.

Photochemistry and Photobiology
Photochemistry and Photobiology publishes original research articles and reviews on current topics in photoscience. Topics span from the primary interaction of light with molecules, cells, and tissue to the subsequent biological responses, representing disciplinary and interdisciplinary research in the fields of chemistry, physics, biology, and medicine. Photochemistry and Photobiology is the official journal of the American Society for Photobiology.
Photodermatology, Photoimmunology & Photomedicine
The journal is a forum for new information about the direct and distant effects of electromagnetic radiation (ultraviolet, visible and infrared) mediated through skin. The divisions of the editorial board reflect areas of specific interest: aging, carcinogenesis, immunology, instrumentation and optics, lasers, photodynamic therapy, photosensitivity, pigmentation and therapy. Photodermatology, Photoimmunology & Photomedicine includes original articles, reviews, communications and editorials. Original articles may include the investigation of experimental or pathological processes in humans or animals in vivo or the investigation of radiation effects in cells or tissues in vitro. Methodology need have no limitation; rather, it should be appropriate to the question addressed. Thus, all contemporary physiologic, microscopic, and biochemical methodologies are welcomed. Review articles, including new trends, are ordinarily solicited by the editors, although we invite suggestions from all readers. Communications are intended for the reporting of a special observation, either clinical or experimental, to address an hypothesis, to make a single point, or to pose a question.
Phycological Research
Phycological Research is published by the Japanese Society of Phycology and complements the Japanese Journal of Phycology. The Journal publishes international, basic or applied, peer-reviewed research dealing with all aspects of phycology including ecology, taxonomy and phylogeny, evolution, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, morphology, physiology, new techniques to facilitate the international exchange of results. All articles are peer-reviewed by at least two researchers expert in the filed of the submitted paper. Phycological Research has been credited by the International Association for Plant Taxonomy for the purpose of registration of new non-vascular plant names (including fossils). The journal also welcomes submission of shorter breakthrough manuscripts containing novel. exciting but solidly underpinned research that merits rapid publication. The journal publishes papers on all aspects of all organizational levels of experimental plant biology ranging from molecular and cell biology. biochemistry and biophysics to ecophysiology and global change biology. Physiologia Plantarumalso publishes Minireviews and Technical Focus papers. with the aim of providing a forum for the exchange of information on recent breakthroughs and technical advances. REGULAR MANUSCRIPTS Regular manuscripts should present original hypothesis-driven research in one of the five subject areas covered by the journal (Biochemistry and Metabolism; Ecophysiology. Stress and Adaptation; Uptake. Transport and Assimilation; Development. Growth and Differentiation; Photobiology and Photosynthesis). The experiments described should address questions pertinent to the research topic and the outcomes should advance our understanding of the processes being studied. not simply repeat known results in a different species. MINIREVIEWS(Download guidelines in PDF format) Minireviews. which are subject to peer review. should cover the background of a topical research problem. emphasizing the state of the art and serving as a focal point for further research. They must be written concisely. with no more than 50 references and a maximum of 6 printed pages (one printed page of full text is equivalent to around 5600 characters. including spaces). Minireviews will be considered in all areas of experimental plant science and it is recommended that the Editor-in-Chief be contacted in advance to confirm the suitability of the chosen topic. TECHNICAL FOCUS The Technical Focus section is a forum for critical evaluations and syntheses of key technological approaches in plant physiology. including evaluations of limitations or pitfalls of techniques. The Editors invite contributions on topics of interest from recognized experts but also invite proposals from authors for Technical Focus manuscripts. The format is flexible to accommodate varying content.
Physiological Reports
Physiological Reports is an online, open access monthly journal that publishes peer-reviewed research across all areas of basic and translational physiology and allied disciplines. Case reports are acceptable, so long as they have a physiological focus, but Physiological Reports does not publish clinical trials. For further information, see the journal's full scope statement.
Physiotherapy Research International
Phytochemical Analysis
Phytochemical Analysisis devoted to the publication of original articles concerning the development, improvement, validation and/or extension of application of analytical methodology in the plant sciences. The spectrum of coverage is broad, encompassing methods and techniques relevant to the detection (including bio-screening), extraction, separation, purification, identification and quantification of compounds in plant biochemistry, plant cellular and molecular biology, plant biotechnology, the food sciences, agriculture and horticulture. The Journal publishes papers describing significant novelty in the analysis of whole plants (including algae), plant cells, tissues and organs, plant-derived extracts and plant products (including those which have been partially or completely refined for use in the food, agrochemical, pharmaceutical and related industries). All forms of physical, chemical, biochemical, spectroscopic, radiometric, electrometric, chromatographic, metabolomic and chemometric investigations of plant products (monomeric species as well as polymeric molecules such as nucleic acids, proteins, lipids and carbohydrates) are included within the remit of the Journal. Papers dealing with novel methods relating to areas such as data handling/ data mining in plant sciences will also be welcomed. Phytochemical Analysisis intended to serve as a major resource for information on analytical and instrumental methodology in the plant sciences. Together with original articles and accelerated communications, all of which will be both timely and of interest to a wide readership, short review articles describing recent advances in specific areas of plant analysis will be published. Reviews are by invitation only, but the Editor-in-Chief welcomes suggestions for new review topics from potential authors.
Phytotherapy Research
Phytotherapy Research is a monthly, international journal for the publication of original research papers, short communications, reviews and letters on medicinal plant research. Key areas of interest are pharmacology, toxicology, and the clinical applications of herbs and natural products in medicine, from case histories to full clinical trials, including studies of herb-drug interactions and other aspects of the safety of herbal medicines. Papers concerned with the effects of common food ingredients and standardised plant extracts, including commercial products, are particularly welcome, as are mechanistic studies on isolated natural products. Short communications dealing with the pharmacology and screening of crude or uncharacterised extracts will be considered for publication only if they are clearly of interest to our international readership and are not deemed more suitable for a regional audience. Phytotherapy Research does not publish agricultural, phytochemical, structure elucidation, quality control or botanical identification papers unless directly pertinent to the pharmacological effects or overall safety of plant based medicines currently in use.
Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research
Pigment Cell & Melanoma Research publishes manuscripts on all aspects of pigment cells including development, cell and molecular biology, genetics, diseases of pigment cells including melanoma. Papers that provide insights into the causes and progression of melanoma including the process of metastasis and invasion, proliferation, senescence, apoptosis or gene regulation are especially welcome, as are papers that use the melanocyte system to answer questions of general biological relevance. Papers that are purely descriptive or make only minor advances to our knowledge of pigment cells or melanoma in particular are not suitable for this journal.
