La Revista Iberoamericana de Automática e Informática Industrial (RIAI) es el órgano de expresión del Comité Español de Automática (CEA), miembro de la Federación Internacional de Control Automático (IFAC). La revista se desarrolla en el marco de la comunidad iberoamericana, y en general, en los entornos en los que el español constituye el idioma básico y no excluyente de comunicación. RIAI engloba el amplio campo de la Teoría de Control, la Ingeniería de Sistemas, la Automatización, la Robótica, la Regulación Automática y las diferentes tecnologías empleadas en la realización de los sistemas de control, en particular los basados en computadores y redes de comunicaciones. Publica cuatro números al año que incluyen artículos científico-técnicos, comunicaciones o artículos cortos, monografías y artículos de opinión de interés para personal de centros de investigación, departamentos I+D y la comunidad universitaria del ámbito científico-técnico de la Automática e Informática Industrial.

The Revista Iberoamericana de Automática e Informática Industrial (RIAI) (Ibero-American Journal of Industrial Automation and Informatics) is the official Journal of the Comité Español de Automática (CEA) (Spanish Automation Committee), a member of the Federación Internacional de Control Automático (IFAC) (International Confederation of Automation Control). The Journal is directed towards the Ibero-American community, and in general, for environments in which Spanish is the basic language, and not exclusive, of communication. RIAI covers the wide field of Control Theory, Systems Engineering, Robotics, Automation Regulation, and the different technologies used in making these control systems, in particular those based on computers and communication networks. It publishes four issues per year, which include scientific-technical articles, communications and short articles, special articles, and opinion articles, of interest to research professionals, R&D Departments, and university community in the scientific-technical field of Industrial Automation and Informatics.

Robotics and Autonomous Systems will carry articles describing fundamental developments in the field of robotics, with special emphasis on autonomous systems. An important goal of this journal is to extend the state of the art in both symbolic and sensory based robot control and learning in the context of autonomous systems.Robotics and Autonomous Systems will carry articles on the theoretical, computational and experimental aspects of autonomous systems, or modules of such systems.Application environments of interest include industrial, outdoor and outer space where advanced robotic techniques are required for autonomous systems to accomplish goals without human intervention; this includes robotics for hazardous and hostile environments.Robotics and Autonomous Systems will carry brief reports on international meetings in the field, as well as an occasional multi-author debate on current topics of interest. The emphasis of the journal Robotics and Computer-Integrated Manufacturing is on disseminating the application of research to the development of new or improved industrially-relevant manufacturing technologies, equipment, and strategies. Preference is given to papers describing research whose initial feasibility has been demonstrated either in a real manufacturing enterprise or experimentally in a laboratory. Case-studies describing technology transfer and deployment from research institutions to industry or the implementation and scale-up of new technologies in industry, as well as review papers on topical issues in manufacturing, are equally encouraged.

Formal approaches, at the level of mathematics and/or computations, as well as state-of-the-art practical results, are expected from manuscripts published in SIIMS. SIIMS is mathematically and computationally based, and offers a unique forum to highlight the commonality of methodology, models, and algorithms among diverse application areas of imaging sciences.Authors are encouraged to exploit the endless possibilities of an electronic publication with the use of color, animations, video, presentations, and additional supplementary material as detailed in the instructions for authors. SIIMS provides cross-referencing with the peer-reviewed journal Image Processing On Line (IPOL). We encourage authors to submit their algorithm description and software to IPOL in order to increase the visibility of their work and the potential for collaboration between researchers.Research papers that innovate both in the fundamentals and in the applications are especially welcome.
