The Journal of Advanced Transportation is a fully peer reviewed international journal in the general area of transportation. It publishes papers ranging from methodological to descriptive case studies in analysis, planning, design, technology, economics and operations of transport and traffic systems. Transport Planning, Urban Rail and Bus Systems, Air & Water transport, Intelligent Transport Systems, Highway and Traffic Engineering, Transport and Traffic Systems Analysis, and Transport in Developing Countries are some topics of interest.

The purpose of JAIHC is to provide a high profile, leading edge forum for academics, industrial professionals, educators and policy makers involved in the field to contribute, to disseminate the most innovative researches and developments of all aspects of ambient intelligence and humanized computing, such as intelligent/smart objects, environments/spaces, and systems. The Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments (JAISE) serves as a forum to discuss the latest developments on Ambient Intelligence (AmI) and Smart Environments (SmE). Given the multi-disciplinary nature of the areas involved, the journal aims to promote participation from several different communities covering topics ranging from enabling technologies such as multi-modal sensing and vision processing, to algorithmic aspects in interpretive and reasoning domains, to application-oriented efforts in human-centered services, as well as contributions from the fields of robotics, networking, HCI, mobile, collaborative and pervasive computing. This diversity stems from the fact that smart environments can be defined with a variety of different characteristics based on the applications they serve, their interaction models with humans, the practical system design aspects, as well as the multi-faceted conceptual and algorithmic considerations that would enable them to operate seamlessly and unobtrusively. The Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Smart Environments will focus on both the technical and application aspects of these.

Journal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry (formerly titled Journal of Automated Methods and Management in Chemistry) publishes original research articles as well as review articles related to the use of analytical methods in chemistry with particular emphasis on automation and mechanization in analytical, clinical, and industrial environments.

JAIR(ISSN 1076 - 9757) covers all areas of artificial intelligence (AI), publishing refereed research articles, survey articles, and technical notes. Established in 1993 as one of the first electronic scientific journals, JAIR is indexed by INSPEC, Science Citation Index, and MathSciNet. JAIR reviews papers within approximately three months of submission and publishes accepted articles on the internet immediately upon receiving the final versions. JAIR articles are published for free distribution on the internet by the AI Access Foundation, and for purchase in bound volumes by AAAI Press.

The interdisciplinary Journal of Automated Reasoning balances theory, implementation and application. The spectrum of coverage ranges from the presentation of a new inference rule with proof of its logical properties to a detailed account of a computer program designed to solve various problems in industry. Topics include automated theorem proving, logic programming, expert systems, program synthesis and validation, artificial intelligence, computational logic, robotics, and various industrial applications. The contents focus on several aspects of automated reasoning, a field whose objective is the design and implementation of a computer program that serves as an assistant in solving problems and in answering questions that require reasoning. This journal contains translations of papers from the Russian-language bimonthly "Mezhdunarodnyi nauchno-tekhnicheskiy zhurnal "Problemy upravleniya i informatiki". Subjects covered include information sciences such as pattern recognition, forecasting, identification and evaluation of complex systems, information security, fault diagnosis and reliability. In addition, the journal also deals with such automation subjects as adaptive, stochastic and optimal control, control and identification under uncertainty, robotics, and applications of user-friendly computers in management of economic, industrial, biological, and medical systems. The Journal of Automation and Information Sciences will appeal to professionals in control systems, communications, computers, engineering in biology and medicine, instrumentation and measurement, and those interested in the social implications of technology.

The Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology aims to publish high quality, original research articles, expository tutorial papers and review papers as well as short, critical comments on technical issues associated with the analysis of cellular information.The research papers will be technical presentations of new assertions, discoveries and tools, intended for a narrower specialist community. The tutorials, reviews and critical commentary will be targeted at a broader readership of biologists who are interested in using computers but are not knowledgeable about scientific computing, and equally, computer scientists who have an interest in biology but are not familiar with current thrusts nor the language of biology. Such carefully chosen tutorials and articles should greatly accelerate the rate of entry of these new creative scientists into the field.

The Journal of Biomedical Informatics (formerly Computers and Biomedical Research) has been designed to reflect a commitment to high-quality original research papers, reviews, and commentaries in the area of biomedical informatics. Although we publish articles motivated by applications in the biomedical sciences (for example, clinical medicine, health care, population health, imaging, and translational bioinformatics), the journal emphasizes reports of new methodologies and techniques that have general applicability and that form the basis for the evolving science of biomedical informatics. Articles on medical devices; evaluations of implemented systems (including clinical trials of information technologies); or papers that provide insight into a biological process, a specific disease, or treatment options would generally be more suitable for publication in other venues. Papers on applications of signal processing and image analysis are often more suitable for biomedical engineering journals, although we do publish papers that emphasize the information management and knowledge representation/modeling issues that arise in the storage and use of biological signals and images. System descriptions are welcome if they illustrate and substantiate the underlying methodology that is the principal focus of the report and an effort is made to address the generalizability and/or range of application of that methodology.The methods that are the focus of JBI papers may be drawn from any of a number of component sciences in the field of biomedical informatics. Although the methods are often related to the field of computer science, many JBI papers will emphasize innovative techniques from other fields, such as decision science, statistics, cognitive science, psychology, information science, or management science.

Journal of Biomedical Semantics encompasses all aspects of semantic resources and their use in data integration, mining, modeling, interpretation and exploitation in biomedical research.

The Journal of Building Performance Simulation (JBPS) is the official journal of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA). IBPSA is a non-profit international society of computational building performance simulation researchers, developers, practitioners and users, dedicated to improving the design, construction, operation and maintenance of new and existing buildings worldwide.The JBPS is an international refereed journal, publishing only articles of the highest quality that are original, cutting-edge, well-researched and of significance to the international community.
