International Immunopharmacology
International Immunopharmacology is the primary vehicle for the publication of original research papers pertinent to the overlapping areas of immunology, pharmacology, cytokine biology, immunotherapy, immunopathology and immunotoxicology. Review articles that encompass these subjects are also welcome.The subject material appropriate for submission includes:• Clinical studies employing immunotherapy of any type including the use of: bacterial and chemical agents; thymic hormones, interferon, lymphokines, etc., in transplantation and diseases such as cancer, immunodeficiency, chronic infection and allergic, inflammatory or autoimmune disorders.• Studies on the mechanisms of action of these agents for specific parameters of immune competence as well as the overall clinical state. • Pre-clinical animal studies and in vitro studies on mechanisms of action with immunopotentiators, immunomodulators, immunoadjuvants and other pharmacological agents active on cells participating in immune or allergic responses.• Pharmacological compounds, microbial products and toxicological agents that affect the lymphoid system, and their mechanisms of action.• Agents that activate genes or modify transcription and translation within the immune response.• Substances activated, generated, or released through immunologic or related pathways that are pharmacologically active.• Production, function and regulation of cytokines and their receptors.• Classical pharmacological studies on the effects of chemokines and bioactive factors released during immunological reactions. • Studies on the nature and function of drug and hormone receptors on lymphocytes and other cells in the immune system.• Studies of cell-derived or humoral factors that modify the immune system causing cytotoxicity, inducing antibody production and mediating inflammatory responses.• The development of immunologically based assays and their application to disease, including assays for drugs, hormones, cyclic nucleotides, tumor antigens, etc.• The Editors will be pleased to receive published books for possible independent review.Please Bookmark this URL: http://www.elsevier.com/locate/intimpThese Backfiles include Immunopharmacology and the International Journal of Immunopharmacology.

Aims and ScopeJACI: In Practice covers the spectrum of conditions treated by allergist-immunologists in their practices. The emphasis of the journal is on information that is practical for clinicians-material that can be used in everyday practice or will help in acquiring new knowledge or skills that can be directly applied to patients. A major goal of JACI: In Practice is to provide our readers with a high level of evidence to support their clinical decisions in diagnosis and management. Content All JACI: In Practice content is peer-reviewed. The journal welcomes original research articles that fit into the above scope. For each original article, a highlight box indicates what is already known about this subject, what this study adds, and how the new information impacts current management guidelines. Shorter original research and instructive case reports are presented as Clinical Communications. "Images in Allergy" submissions that consist of clinical pictures (e.g., X-rays, CT scans, biopsies, allergens, endoscopic visualizations of the airway, eruptions, etc.) and impart important clinical information are also included. In addition, JACI: In Practice features various types of review articles that will primarily be invited by the editors. Many of these will offer CME. The original and review articles are supplemented by Editorials, AAAAI Practice Papers, and a regular Ask the Expert column.

Journal of Experimental Medicine
Since its inception in 1896, The Journal of Experimental Medicine (JEM) has published papers on the physiological, pathological, and molecular mechanisms that encompass the host response to disease. The journal prioritizes studies on intact organisms and has made a commitment to publishing studies on human subjects.JEM originsThe JEM was founded in 1896 at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine by William Welch, the school’s founder and also the first president of the Board of Scientific Directors of the Rockefeller Institute. From its inception, Welch edited the journal by himself—even editing manuscripts while attending baseball games—and he eventually found that it placed too heavy a burden on his time. By March 1902, the editorial burden became too great for Welch, who stopped publishing papers and began stockpiling manuscripts and unanswered correspondence in his office, explaining the conspicuous absence of published papers from 1902 to 1904 (see JEM Archives).In October 1902, Welch appealed to the board of The Rockefeller Institute to take over the journal. The transfer of ownership and publication responsibilities required the physical transfer of manuscripts from Welch’s office, which fell to the director of The Rockefeller Institute, Simon Flexner, who carried the abandoned manuscripts from Baltimore to New York in a suitcase.The first issue of the JEM published by The Rockefeller Institute appeared in February 1905, with Flexner serving as editor, and the journal has been published regularly since then. Although the journal was adopted by The Rockefeller Institute as a venue for publication of the Institute’s own research, it also accepted submissions from outside. Even in the early years, more than half of the papers published in the journal came from external labs. .

(2) Purifying immunoglobulins, lymphokines and other molecules of the immune system. (3) Isolating antigens and other substances important in immunological processes. (4) Labelling antigens and antibodies. (5) Localizing antigens and/or antibodies in tissues and cells. (6) Detecting, and fractionating immunocompetent cells. (7) Assaying for cellular immunity. (8) Documenting cell-cell interactions. (9) Initiating immunity and unresponsiveness. (10) Transplanting tissues. (11) Studying items closely related to immunity such as complement, reticuloendothelial system and others. (12) Molecular techniques for studying immune cells and their receptors. (13) Imaging of the immune system. (14) Methods for production or their fragments in eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells.In addition the journal will publish articles on novel methods for analysing the organization, structure and expression of genes for immunologically important molecules such as immunoglobulins, T cell receptors and accessory molecules involved in antigen recognition, processing and presentation. Submitted full length manuscripts should describe new methods of broad applicability to immunology and not simply the application of an established method to a particular substance - although papers describing such applications may be considered for publication as a short Technical Note. In general these manuscripts are by solicitation however anyone interested in submitting a review can contact the Reviews Editor and provide an outline of the proposed review.A Computational Methods Section reflects the increasingly central role of sophisticated statistical and mathematical methods and computational models in the analysis, visualization, interpretation of the results of techniques and investigations within the general scope of the Journal.These methods can generally be divided into data-driven Immunomics methods involving high throughput assays or model-driven methods that provide a framework for data analysis, visualization, and interpretation. Descriptions of high-quality immunological databases are also of interest.This Section will publish papers that present important advances to current practice or new "gold standards" for mathematical and computational methods and analyses in the field of immunology. Areas of interest reflect the general areas of interest of the Journal, particularly novel methods for analyzing the organization, structure and expression of genes and proteins of immunologically important molecules such as immunoglobulins, T cell receptors, and various accessory molecules involved in antigen recognition, processing, and presentation, and inflammation.
