The University does not have an Open Access (OA) agreement with MDPI.
We have a prepayment account we use to pay Article Processing Charges (APC’s), which provides us with a 10% discount.
For us to pay an MDPI APC, authors need to request OA funding using our Open Access enquiry form.
As a fully OA publisher, MDPI journals are eligible for the use of our OA budgets. You can check your eligibility for these budgets in our Open Access funds available for University of Manchester researchers article.

COSPAR is an interdisciplinary scientific organization concerned with the progress of space research on an international scale. Advances in Structural Engineering provides a major publication channel for research in the area of structural engineering and an international forum for the exchange of innovative ideas. The research results reported in this journal cover all aspects of the analysis, behaviour, design and construction of civil engineering structures such as buildings, bridges, towers and masts, storage structures, and offshore platforms.
