Current Gerontology and Geriatrics Research

ISSN: 1687-7063eISSN: 1687-7071
DOAJ Logo

Current Gerontology and Geriatrics Research aims at scientists, geriatricians, health professionals interested in molecular, cellular, organismal aspects of gerontological research and in diagnosis, treatment, evaluation and educational aspects of geriatrics research. The journal also highlights new discoveries, approaches as well as technical developments in basic, clinical and discovery driven translational research. The main feature of the journal is to provide an international forum where researchers, clinicians, health professionals, and health care providers can publish their work, raise awareness to issues of broad interest in the field of aging, and debate on controversial issues. The scope of the journal includes papers on physiological and molecular mechanisms that encompass the process of aging, as well as on pathological aspects and mechanisms that encompass the diseases associated with aging. Subject areas covered by the journal include all aspects of biological gerontology and clinical geriatrics research. These subject areas include (but are not limited to):Key biological processes such as cell cycle, DNA repair, free radical biology, apoptosis, angiogenesis, cell signalling, immune response, inflammation, stem cell research, and cell communicationEmerging technologies applied to the aging research: genomics, proteomics, functional genomics, metabolomic, lipidomic, tissues arrays, and model systemsBiomarkers of aging: usefulness, diagnosis, prognosis, and stratificationAging and longevity genetics, epigentics, and genomic instabilityMolecular pathology of age-related diseases including atherosclerosis, neuro-degeneration, cancer, immunosenescence, arthrosis, osteoporosis, and inflammationDiagnosis, approach, evaluation and treatment of major age-related diseases including Fall, delirium, cardiovascular diseases, infections, tumours, auto-immune diseases, dementia, and gait disordersClinical pharmacologyEpidemiology and prevention in elderlyInnovative therapies for age-related diseases including special clinical trials in elderlyRehabilitation medicine in the elderlyClinical nutritionTheories of aging.

Cytometry Part A

ISSN: 1552-4922eISSN: 1552-4930

Cytometry, Part A embraces the study of the cytome, covering all aspects of molecular analysis of cellular systems in the following areas: cytomics (studies linking the genome and proteome to cell regulation and function), flow cytometry, image cytometry, molecular array technologies, as well as other cell-based spectroscopic analyses and associated bioinformatics/computational methodologies. The research featured in the journal encompasses not only the development of the techniques and reagents needed to measure cell features and cellular constituents, but also investigations that primarily employ these techniques for characterization in order to provide an understanding of function and regulation in the context of the cell, organ, and organism. Cytometry, Part A publishes original research articles, in-depth reviews, rapid communications of new, novel 'hot' topics, and technical innovation articles. Topical coverage includes:

Cytoskeleton

ISSN: 1949-3584eISSN: 1949-3592

Cytoskeleton focuses on all aspects of cytoskeletal research, spanning genetic and cell biological observations, biochemical, biophysical and structural studies, mathematical modeling and theory. This includes, but is certainly not limited to, classic polymer systems of eukaryotic cells and their structural sites of attachment on membranes and organelles, as well as the bacterial cytoskeleton, the nucleoskeleton, and uncoventional polymer systems with structural/organizational roles. The journal is published in 12 issues annually, and special issues will be dedicated to especially-active or newly-emerging areas of cytoskeletal research. Cytoskeleton serves as a venue for the rapid and fair evaluation of manuscripts, leading to the publication of high-quality articles that advance the cytoskeleton field. The journal welcomes submission of research papers, reviews & commentaries.

Decision Sciences: A Journal of the Decision Sciences Institute

ISSN: 0011-7315eISSN: 1540-5915

Decision Sciences, a premier journal of the Decision Sciences Institute, publishes scholarly research about decision making within the boundaries of an organization, as well as decisions involving inter-firm coordination. The journal promotes research advancing decision making at the interfaces of business functions and organizational boundaries. The journal also seeks articles extending established lines of work assuming the results of the research have the potential to substantially impact either decision making theory or industry practice. Ground-breaking research articles that enhance managerial understanding of decision making processes and stimulate further research in multi-disciplinary domains are particularly encouraged. Decision Sciences recognizes that a delicate balance must be maintained between publishing traditional scholarly research and promoting novel, seminal research in new frontiers.
